Dos Pueblos fought to the end but suffered a first-round CIF-SS Division 3 playoff loss to Edison Thursday on scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.
Chloe Hoffman led the Chargers with 16 kills, 11 digs and three aces, and Makeila Cervantes added eight kills. Halle Rillie dished 21 assists and served four aces, Malia Brofferio had 10 digs and two assists and Addison Low added three aces.
“We are incredibly proud of our team,” Dos Pueblos coach Megan O’Carroll said. “We played incredibly hard and competed from the first point all the way to the last point.
“We kept pushing Edison to the brink but things didn’t end up falling in our favor. It is always a privilege to get to play in the post-season and I’m thrilled that we went out swinging hard.”
