The Dos Pueblos girls soccer team celebrated its first victory on Wednesday night, beating Lompoc, 2-1, in a Channel League match.
Paulina Avina scored the game winner just before halftime off a through ball from Elena Andrews.
The Chargers held off the Braves in the final 40 minutes.
“A shout out to the entire team as this year has been a difficult one,” said coach Ivan Luna. “But resiliency, hard work, and positive attitudes throughout the year helped the team accomplish this win.
“I am so proud of each of our players as their willingness to learn each practice and each game never fails.”
Natalie Carranza scored off an assist from Gizela Zermeno to put the Chargers up 1-0 in the first half.
Lompoc tied the score on a well-executed counter attack.
Dos Pueblos (1-12-4, 1-6-2) plays its final game of the season on Friday at Santa Ynez.
