Dos Pueblos retained a two-game lead in the Channel League standings with a 12-0 win over Santa Barbara at home Tuesday.

The Chargers hit four triples on the way to the win, and pitchers George Wilson and Bella Nuño combined on the shutout.

Mia Reveles and Mackenzie Ensign were both 2-for2, with Reveles hitting two triples and Ensign one. Leila Chisholm got the other triple for Dos Pueblos.

“When the wind is blowing the way it was today, hitting through the holes in the gaps is the best way to get extra bases,” Chargers coach Mike Gerken said. “Our girls put some good swings on the ball today, then had to do a bit of running.

“It was nice to have runners at third so often with less than two outs. The rest of the girls answered by driving them in. It was a nice bit of teamwork out there today.”

Dos Pueblos is now 12-1 in league play and 16-4 overall.
