The Warriors braved hurricane-like winds and beat the Seraphs in a non-league match

“This was close all the way through and I was very impressed with both teams and how they handled the conditions,” said Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant. “It definitely was not easy and made for some incredible points and also some comical points.  But really both teams did a great job of adjusting overall and on the fly as the ball was never where it was intended to go.

Max Stone won a 6-2 match against the Seraphs No. 1 player en route to a 3-0 sweep  A much closer than the score, 6-2 win.  Lucas Martin also picked up a crucial win at No. 2 singles.

In doubles, Troy Zimmerman/Asher Pampel went undefeated and pulled out a come-from-behind 7-5 win after being down 3-5 against the Seraphs’ top duo.  Servando Campuzano/Nolan Martin also picked up a huge tiebreak win to close out the match.

Carpinteria is now 2-0 overall and will host a strong Simi Valley squad on Thursday.
