The first CIF-SS boys and girls soccer polls are out and five area teams are in the top 10 in their respective divisions.

Dunn School of Los Olivos is No. 1 in Division 6. The  Earwigs are coached by former UCSB standout and Bishop Diego coach Ivan Becerra.

He has a talented squad led by senior attacker Alpha Sowe, senior midfielders Mikey Uribe and Abdul Razak Abdul Kadir and senior goalkeeper Brima Kamara, who can also play in the field.

Bishop Diego, which reached the Division 7 semifinals last year, is ranked seventh.

San Marcos is ranked third in Division 2. The Royals advanced to the quarterfinals last season.

Santa Barbara, led by goal-scoring standout Juan Carlos Torres, is ninth in Division 1.

In girls soccer, Carpinteria is the only area team in the rankings at No. 9 in Division 7.
