Freshmen Elle Stone had a breakout game, pouring in 37 points and dishing out eight assists to lead the Santa Barbara High girls basketball team to a 68-61 win over Lompoc on Saturday.

Stone, whose previous high this season was 27 points,  made 15 of 21 shots. She also blocked three shots and grabbed nine rebounds.

Freshmen Lauren Robles and Dayzia Mendoza also had games. Robles made a trio of three-pointers and scored 15 points and Mendoza hauled in 13 rebounds.

The Dons jumped out to a 17-6 lead, but Lompoc stormed back and cut the lead to 31-29 at halftime. The game stayed close the rest of the way.

Santa Barbara evened their league record at 3-3.
