Caltrans is continuing a project to resurface about 35 miles of State Route 166 from west of the Carrizo Canyon Bridge to the Cuyama Canyon Bridge.

Motorists will encounter lane closures and one-way reversing traffic control 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays. Construction during the overnight hours will occur 7-11:55 p.m. Sundays, 6 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11:55 p.m.-6 am. Fridays.

Drivers can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes. The project, which includes improving the asphalt pavement, is expected to be complete in November.

Electronic message boards will be activated informing motorists about the work.

The contractor for the $5 million project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
