The first four hitters carried the offensive load for the Santa Barbara Foresters in a 12-4 win over the San Luis Obispo Blues in the final game their California Collegiate League season series on Wednesday night at Sinsheimer Park in San Luis Obispo.

The Central Coast rivals split their six games against each other.

The quartet of Seth Stephenson, Andrew Kachel, Dylan Campbell, and Ryan Wrobleski led the way for the Foresters.They combined for nine hits, eight runs and five RBI, Campbell paced the group, going 3 for 5 with three runs scored and a RBI.

Nate Rombach, the No. 6 hitter, had a big night, going 3-4 with three RBI. Kachel hit a solo homer in the first inning.

The Foresters scored two runs in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. Campbell singled and stole second and scored on a single by Wrobleski or the go-ahead run. Jared Thomas followed with a single and Rombach singled to drive in Wrobleski.

Santa Barbara pulled away with four runs in the seventh and three in the eighth.

Cole Reeves started on the mound for the Foresters and struck out 11 in five innings. He allowed three runs (two on homers) on six hits and walked one.

Peyton Cole, Steven Zobac and Nick Proctor finished out the game. Cole allowed one run and one hit and struck out three in two innings, while Zobac and Proctor each struck out two in their one-inning appearances.

The Foresters, 21-7 and 14-7 in the CCL, return to Pershing Park on Thursday to begin a four-game homestand. They open against the Ventura Pirates at 6 p.m. The OC Riptide visit on Friday, the Arroyo Seco Saints on Saturday and the Conejo Oaks on Sunday afternoon.

The Foresters and Arroyo Seco are tied for first place in the South Division.
