Former Santa Barbara High star Bolden Brace helped Northeastern reach the championship of the Colonial Athletic Association basketball tournament, scoring 16 points and grabbing seven rebounds in a 68-60 win over Elon in a semifinal game on Monday night at the Washington D.C. Entertainment and Sports Arena.
The Huskies will play Hofstra for the title and automatic NCAA Tournament berth on Tuesday. The game will be shown on CBS Sports Network at 4 p.m.
Brace, in his final season at Northeastern, is the 25th all-time scorer in Northeastern program history, ranks fourth in three-point shots and has career free-throw percentage of 82 percent.
He earned a bachelor’s degree as a Communications major after three years and is currently working toward a master’s degree in Project Management.
He scored 15 points in a quarterfinal win over Towson University on Sunday.
