Cate played its first single match of the girls volleyball  season and swept Garden Street Academy, 25-6, 25-9, 25-6, on Wednesday.

“We tested some of the younger players and they passed the test by delivering on defense and offense,” said Cate coach Greg Novak. “Freshman players Tatiana von Bothmer and Gigi Geyer did a great job on the outside — both added to the successful match.”

The Rams play their first Tri-Valley League match on Thursday at Foothill Tech.
