Christian Hernandez scored a career-high 23 points and Ian Stewart and Alex Odell recorded double-doubles for Garden Street Academy in a 53-36 non-league boys basketball win over Providence on Saturday.
Hernandez knocked down seven three-pointers in the game. Odell scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Stewart had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
“We used a combination of tough rebounding (we only gave up eight second chance points) and stellar ball protection (season low seven turnovers),” said Garden Street coach Trey Putnam.
Garden Street Academy is 3-9 and 2-1 in league while Providence is 3-4 and 0-1.
