It’s a signature event for good reason: The Downtown Santa Barbara LIVE Art & Wine Tour Presented by The Towbes Group showcases not only downtown galleries, it also shines the spotlight on top downtown restaurants, local wineries and breweries — and artistic talent.

Scheduled for 5:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, this year’s curated art walk takes place in venues located above Carrillo Street, including the Final Party at the Arlington Theatre.

After checking in, guests trade their tickets for a wine glass and plate, a wristband, and a map to the 12 locations.

All venues will host a LIVE cultural event and include:10 West Gallery, Bella Rosa Galleries, Colette Cosentino Atelier + Gallery, Distinctive  Framing N’ Art, Ensemble Theatre Company at the New Vic, Fuzion Gallery & Boutique.

Also, Indigo Interiors, Santa Barbara Fine Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, State Gallery at Youth Interactive, Sullivan Goss – An American Gallery, and Yuliya Lennon Art Studio.

Wineries/breweries include some local favorites and some new sips: Au Bon Climat, August Ridge Vineyards, Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard, E11even Wines, Good Lion Hospitality, Grassini Family Vineyards, Institution Ale.

La Lieff Wines, Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards, M.Special Brewing Company, Sanford Winery, Santa Barbara Winery, Windrun Wine, and Barden Wines and Margerum Wine Company, pouring wine from both wineries including Barden Fonte, a Burgundy blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris.

Food offerings, both tried and new are from: Bar 29, Bibi Ji, bouchon Santa Barbara, Brasil Arts Café, Carlitos Café & Cantina, The Cruisery, Hoffmann Brat Haus, Lilac Patisserie, Little Kitchen, Los Arroyos Mexican Restaurant & Take Out.

The Middle Child Santa Barbara, Opal Restaurant & Bar, Pascucci, Patxi’s Pizza, Roost Santa Barbara, Satellite Santa Barbara, Soul Cal Smokehouse, and Jane Restaurant, serving its Coconut Chiffon Cake at the Final Party.

“This event has something for everyone — food and wine to try, new galleries to visit, and of course, LIVE art,” said Carrie Kelly, Downtown SB executive director. “We learned a long time ago that fans of the Art & Wine Tour are passionate about all of it.”

Fuzion Gallery & Boutique is hosting local artist Danielle Methmann, who paints with a unique medium — wine.

“I’m very excited to do a wine-painting demo at Fuzion for my first time as part of the tour,” Methmann said.

Santa Barbara-based artist Marco Pinter will bring his mix of cutting-edge technology, live music, and dance to Ensemble Theatre Company.

Following the self-guided tour, guests reconvene for the Final Party at the Arlington Theatre, 1317 State St. for more wine, food, music and dancing.

Music on the Sol Wave Water Entertainment stage will be supplied by Santa Barbara’s “Best Event DJ” DJ Darla Bea, spinning the dance tunes.
