Big Bounce America, a touring inflatable theme park composed of three main attractions and a Guinness world record holder for the world’s largest bounce house, is making a stop at Elings park in Santa Barbara this weekend.
Each year during spring and summer, the inflatable attractions travel around the U.S. and offer different sessions divided by age groups so people of all ages can embrace their inner child.
Each ticket grants visitors three hours of full access to the park, with a one hour designated slot for the main attraction, the world’s largest bounce house, referred to as the Castle by tour manager Danielle Hodge.
The Castle is packed with activities including a DJ booth in the center, confetti blasters, basketball hoops, a giant slide ending in a ball pit, and many other exciting elements.
The Big Bounce America has been touring for three years and, according to Hodge, the inspiration came to the owners, who are from Scotland and come from the entertainment industry, when they “had the time of their life” in a bounce house as adults and wanted to create a larger experience that everyone could enjoy.
Hodge also said that the original intention was not to create the world’s largest bounce house, but after getting feedback the owners decided to go for it.
“It really is for everyone, there are no limitations. Pretty much if you are physically able to hop into the bounce house, then it is for you,” Hodge told Noozhawk.
In addition to the world’s largest bounce house, the two other attractions added this year are The Giant, an inflatable obstacle course that is over 900 ft in length with 50 different obstacles, and the airSPACE area, which has space-themed attractions.
While admission inside the attractions costs money, it’s free to go walk around the park and view the houses. In addition to the houses, there are food trucks and seating areas.
Ticket prices are $30 for adults; $25 for children 15 and under; and $16 for children 3 and under.
