Gracie Verdugo scored a season-high 24 points to lead the Carpinteria girls basketball team to a 75-18 win over Providence on Thursday.

The Warriors stormed out to a 19-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

“We continued our solid play and showed good ball movement, getting all the players involved,” said Carpinteria coach Benti Delacruz of the second half. 

Every Carpinteria player scored in the game. Hannia Hernandez had 10 points in the third quarter.
