NatureTrack has partnered with Buellton & Solvang Recreation for more spring outdoor adventures in which experienced naturalists lead small groups in exploring the world around us. The deadline to register is March 31.

New to the program is a Grandparent’s Hike set for 1:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, a scenic easy hike at the Burton Mesa Ecological Reserve. The cost for children attending with an adult is $5.

Participants should meet 10 minutes before start time at the Buellton Rec Center, 301 2nd St., in the Jonata Middle School. Advance registration is required.

“There’s so much to gain from being in the outdoors, don’t feel the need to analyze it as much as observe and appreciate it,” said Jennifer Morrell, who leads a number of the hikes. “Your kids will do the same and love you all the more for it.”

Field trips are at the heart of NatureTrack Foundation, which this year marks its 10th anniversary. The students’ experience is directly linked to financial support from donors. To make a tax-deductible donation, visit https://naturetrack.org/donate/.
