Soccer player Greg Landry was honored for his relentless effort as the Special Olympics Athlete of the Month on Monday at the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table’s weekly luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe.

“We just finished our Fall Games in Fountain Valley,” said coach Dan Weiner. “We came in third, going 1-1-1.
“Greg was my machine. Every time I looked at him, he was moving, running back and forth … and he was listening to me. He had a great time and we all had a great time. I just want to thank Greg for being there and doing what needed to be done, so we could have some success on the soccer field.”
