The Goleta Valley South Little League 8-under All Stars won their third game and advanced to the championship of the District 63 Tournament.
The GVSLL Stars defeated Santa Paula, 13-3, on Saturday to book a spot in the final on Wednesday, June 30 at Montalvo Little League.
Walker Torres and Joseph Demmin combined for the win on the mound, with Demmin notching eight strikeouts.
Goleta Valley South jumped on Santa Paula early as Ozzy Whitworth singled to advance Aiden Herrera and Brandon Munoz. Demmin came up and hit a two-run triple. Damian Gonzalez hit a line drive to left to score Demmin and Sebastian Gonzalez followed with a single to score his brother.
In the bottom of the third, Dax Pattison had a RBI single and Cade Venegas hit a double to drive in three runs.
The GVSLL 8U All-Stars consist of Asher Alvarado, Joseph Demmin, Damian Gonzalez, Sebastian Gonzalez, Aiden Herrera, Brandon Munoz, Quincy Niksto, Dax Pattison, Walker Torres, Cade Venegas, Riley Walsh, Ozzy Whitworth, and Alonzo Wilhelm. The team is managed by Adam Herrera, with assistant coaches Jacob Niksto and Jesse Landeros.
