To ensure the community has access to thorough, accurate information on the Lompoc sales tax measure that will be placed on the March 3, ballot, the city has created a sales tax information webpage and a pamphlet, and will be making other resources available.
After considering public input, Lompoc City Council voted unanimously to place Measure I2020 on the March 3 Presidential Primary Ballot. Measure I2020 would provide a measured and stable revenue source to fund essential city services, maintain public safety, and help the city maintain its financial viability.
A webpage that contains an overview of Measure I2020 and addresses commonly asked questions about the measure is available at https://www.cityoflompoc.com/government/departments/city-clerk/march-3-2020-sales-tax-measure-information.
In addition, an informational pamphlet on Measure I2020 is available on the webpage, is being sent to city residences, and can be picked up at Lompoc City Hall, the Lompoc Library, and other city facilities.
