A shooting that injured a man Sunday night remained under investigation Monday, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to Marian Regional Medical Center for a report of a shooting victim, said Acting Sgt Philip Dix.

Officers later learned that the shooting occurred in the area of Carlotti Drive and East Donovan Road, Dix said.

The man received non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, Dix added.

Police were not saying whether the incident might be related to gang activity.

No arrests had been made as of Monday evening, but detectives were continuing to investigate the shooting, Dix said.

On Friday morning, police investigated a shooting at a residence and arrested a suspect hours after the incident.
