Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in Isla Vista, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.

They were both arrested in San Francisco last week, spokeswoman Raquel Zick said.

Gavin Rapin, 18, of San Francisco, was booked into the Santa Barbara County Main Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, false imprisonment, robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime and kidnap for the purpose of robbery.

A minor, whose name was not released, was booked at the Santa Maria Juvenile Hall on suspicion of residential burglary, false imprisonment, robbery, criminal threats and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Authorities did not release the suspect’s age.

On Nov. 18, residents at a Sabado Tarde Road apartment reported being robbed by three men, two of whom had guns, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The men took computers, a cell phone, a wallet and cannabis, according to Zick, and held the victims at gunpoint.

Investigators believed the victims were specifically targeted, she said.

In late November, two Isla Vista men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Last week, sheriff’s detectives authored arrest warrants and they were served in San Francisco, with the assistance of the San Francisco Police Department, Zick said.

Search warrants were served at each of the suspects’ homes and the residence of the registered owner of the vehicle that was used to flee the area after the robbery, according to Zick.

The owner of the car was not arrested, she added.

“As a result of these search and arrest warrants, several items related to the robbery were recovered and booked as evidence,” Zick said in a statement on Tuesday.
