Providence School’s No. 1 pairs team of Jane Krautmann and Avala Elwood continued their undefeated season, sweeping the competition to win the Tri-Valley League Beach Volleyball Pairs Championship at Laguna Blanca.

The Patrios defeated Bishop Diego’s No. 1 pair in the semifinals, 21-12, 21-17, and then defeated St. Bonaventure’s top duo in the finals, 21-11, 15-21, 15-11.
Providence and St. Bonaventure will send their pairs to represent the TVL in the CIF-SS Individual Championships on May 9-10 in Huntington Beach.
“I challenged Jane and Avala to play power volleyball today and to stay aggressive,” said Providence coach Chris Elwood. “It was a beautiful sports moment to watch as Jane and Avala found a synchronicity in both their side-out game and transition defense.
“They are fun to watch and stepped up with a high level in the key moments of each match.”
