Chuy Reyes (wheelie king) of Santa Barbara, passed away on March 11, 2022, after a three-year battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, also know as incurable lung disease. 
Chuy was born on Dec. 25, 1962 to Daniel and Maria Reyes in Ciudad Juárez, México.

Chuy is predeceased by his father Daniel Reyes, and his two nephews Roman and Victor Jr. Reyes. He is survived by his mother Maria Reyes; brothers Victor, Danny Jr., Jose Luis, Mario, Abel Reyes; sisters Velia McDonald and Patricia Tovar; his children Leah Reyes and Nick Reyes; and various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. And his wife Debbie Reyes.

Funeral services are as follows: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at Welch-Ryce Haider, Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29 at Our Lady of Sorrows with burial service at the Santa Barbara Cemetery, and a potluck reception at the Moose Lodge immediately following.
