The Junior League of Santa Barbara (JLSB) invites the community to join in celebrating the organization’s 95 years of service to the community at the 13th Annual JLSB Gala, March 14 at the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, 1281 Channel Drive.

The Junior League will honor Jan Campbell, executive director for Domestic Violence Solutions of Santa Barbara County, with its Woman of the Year award for her service and commitment to the Santa Barbara community.

“The Junior League of Santa Barbara is honored to have served our community for 95 years, and we can’t think of a better way to mark this anniversary than with a celebration and recommitment to our mission and vision and the beautiful Coral Casino,” said JLSB president Lindsay Cortina.

“We look forward to honoring Jan Campbell for her tremendous work, and to offering opportunities for our guests to partner with us in the next 95 years of developing the potential of women and improving our local community,” she said.

Campbell has more than 30 years of experience in leadership and community engagement, with a background in fundraising, grant writing, marketing and communications. Prior to her current position, she most recently served as chief philanthropic officer at the Santa Barbara Foundation.

Campbell’s nonprofit experience includes work at the Page Youth Center and Heal the Ocean. She currently serves on the board of the World Telehealth Initiative and is a member of the City of Santa Barbara Human Services Commission.

She is active in the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence and represents the Central Coast on the policy and advocacy committee. Campbell has served on the boards of the UCSB Alumni Association, UCSB Foundation, Montessori Center School and Santa Barbara Education Foundation.

She is also a member of two women’s funds and the Santa Barbara Women’s Political Committee.

The League’s 13th Annual Gala, called Diamonds are Forever, also will share updates on the league’s work in the community, including a reflection of key contributions over the group’s 95-year history, and opportunities to give to the vision and mission of JLSB.

All funds raised support the Junior League of Santa Barbara and its programs to support and develop the potential of women and support at-risk youth in our community. The evening will be emceed by Emmy award-winning KEYT news anchor Beth Farnsworth.

Gala guests will enjoy an evening of festive food, drink, and dancing, with a  silent auction, wine raffle, and casino tables. Those attending are encouraged to wear black tie formal attire to complement the theme.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on an array of silent auction items while overlooking Butterfly Beach.
