The city of Solvang’s new branding and design committee will host a virtual community workshop on the Copenhagen Drive Closure Design, 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23,

The workshop will cover design guidelines for the extended Copenhagen Drive closure. The City Council recently approved a resolution to keep Copenhagen Drive closed through October 31, 2021, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and recovery efforts.

The branding and design committee will develop design options that will guide the set-up for both the city common areas and businesses operating outdoors, and will provide a cohesive look for the street closure in an effort to promote the city’s charm and character.

Community members are invited to voice their opinions on the Copenhagen Drive closure design during the workshop.

The committee will hold a technical discussion on the Copenhagen Drive closure at 3:30 p.m., followed by a tour of Copenhagen Drive, with a return to City Hall for the 5 p.m. community workshop.
