Senior Lily Bienstock recorded a hat trick to carry the San Marcos girls soccer team to its sixth straight Channel League win, a 4-0 decison over Cabrillo at Warkentin Stadium on Thursday.
The Royals are 6-0 in Channel League play.
Bienstock started the scoring in the 35th minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the box after an Eden Lazarus corner kick and tapping it in.
The Royals’ captain made it 2-0 early in the second half on a beautiful combination play with Sofia Orozco. The third goal came minutes later when Aislin Suzuki attacked from the defensive position and found Bienstock inside the 18-yard box. She created space and hit a left-footed shot into the opposite corner.
Suzuki also set up the fourth goal, crossing the ball to Caitlin Sparks for the finish.
The Royals host Lompoc on Tuesday.
