The Lompoc Public Library System has temporarily cancelled library programs as a precautionary measure due to the worldwide outbreak of novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. The program cancellations are in keeping with recommendations from county and state public health officials.
The program cancellations will be in effect through April 4, at which time they will be re-evaluated based on the latest coronavirus information.
In-N-Out Burger’s Cover-to-Cover Club reading program remains in effect.
Both the Lompoc Library and Village Library currently remain open to the public, with steps being taken to help enforce social distancing. These measures include moving some chairs off the floor and limiting the number of computers available.
The library reminds the community that library patrons can always access books, movies and music from home through Overdrive and Hoopla with the use of a library card.
Questions regarding program cancellations may be directed to Lompoc Library staff, 805-875-8775.
As a reminder, Lompoc Recreation Division programming has also been cancelled through March 27, and the Lompoc Aquatic Center will be closed until at least that date.
