The Lompoc Public Library invites the community’s youngsters to celebrate 31 Dreadful Days of Terrifying Treats, an online Halloween program that runs Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, and is open to children ages four through 12.

Participants can win one of 10 $25 gift cards to Five Below by taking place in daily, Halloween-themed activities that will be announced in videos on the Lompoc Public Library and Charlotte’s Web Bookmobile Facebook pages, and Lompoc Library YouTube channel.

Participants must sign up on the Beanstack mobile app, and submit the code found at the end of each daily video for an entry into the gift card drawing. Extra prize drawing entries can be earned by submitting reviews, drawings, photos, memes, emojis and jokes, and answering questions via the Beanstack app.

In addition, Lompoc Library staff will be placing painted, Halloween-themed rocks throughout the city. Participants who find a rock can take a picture of it or submit a drawing of it for a raffle entry submission. Participants can also rehide the rock and leave it for someone else to find.

The library’s rocks will have #31Dreadful written on the back. However, any Halloween rock that is found in Lompoc will count toward a raffle entry.

Participants can also paint their own rocks, and take or draw a picture for a raffle entry. An additional raffle entry can be earned by hiding those painted rocks and leaving them for others to find; participants are asked to take a photo of each hidden rock without revealing its location.
