The grand prize winner in Lompoc’s new Spring Yard Beautification Award contest is 600 E. Olive Ave., the city of Lompoc Beautification and Appearance Commission has announced. The contest was formerly called the Say It With Flowers Award.
Judging, which took place June 8-19, evaluated yards on such criteria as physical appeal, imagination, water conservation, and artistic impact. Yards had to be visible from a vehicle in the street to be considered.
