Lotusland Celebrates is a unique gala typically held each July on the 37-acre botanical nirvana that is Ganna Walska Lotusland in Montecito.
The annual soiree, held since 1995, has delighted and wowed as one of the most beloved Santa Barbara benefit parties.

This year, the fundraiser will be a virtual online auction called Beyond the Pink Wall offering one-of-a-kind Lotusland treasures and unique small group experiences. Online bidding, which is open now, ends at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25.

The fundraiser supports a significant portion of Lotusland’s operations and garden staff, rare plant conservation, and education programs for youth and adults. Lotusland is a nonprofit and relies heavily on proceeds from the gala and private philanthropy to ensure the continuation of its garden care and operations.

On July 25, supporters will receive access to a filmed program that includes renowned artist Rufus Wainwright, who performs songs from his newly released album “Unfollow The Rules” in Lotusland’s Cactus Garden. Guests will be guided through the program by Emmy Award-winning actor Finola Hughes.

A ticket to the event is considered a contribution, and supporters will receive a link on Saturday to experience exquisite garden imagery, entertainment, tips and wisdom from garden experts, and endearing moments shared by Lotusland passionistas. A Beyond the Pink Wall playlist will also be released to all supporters.

Donors of $350-plus can win big in a “tickled pink” gift package drawing.

Ganna Walska Lotusland is a botanical garden that has been recognized as one of the top gardens in the world. Beginning as a commercial nursery in the 1880s, the property was purchased by Polish opera singer and socialite Ganna Walska.

The collections of more than 3,000 exotic plants, organized into 20 distinct gardens through the 37-acre property, are a personal expression of Walska’s penchant for the dramatic, the unexpected and the whimsical. Lotusland recently was named No. 6 of the nation’s top botanical gardens, according to a contest by USA Today.
