Led by Melia Haller’s 3-over par 38, the Santa Barbara High girls golf team won a three-team golf match with Righetti and Cabrillo on Tuesday at Santa Maria Country Club.
The Dons shot 218 for nine holes, Righetti carded a 245 and Cabrillo finished at 278.
Haller shared medalist honors with Righetti’s Claire Alford.
Santa Barbara had four players shoot in the 40s: Lizzie Goss (43), Aoife Braverman (45), Allie Womack (45) and Maddie Malmsten (47).
“It was a good start to the season on a new course for several of our girls,” Dons coach Ryan Throop said. “Melia and Claire had a great competition, where Melia made a couple longer putts to save par on holes 8 and 9. Our team score of 218 showed the depth of our team.”
Santa Barbara plays Orcutt Academy on Wednesday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
