The Montecito Fire Protection District and Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue team conducted two trail rescues of injured hikers Saturday. 

Both hikers were injured in the same area of Hot Springs Trail, according to Montecito Fire. 

The first call was reported at 11:30 a.m. and the second was around 4 p.m.

Both injured hikers were located and carried out by fire and search and rescue personnel. 

The second hiker had an ankle injury, according to Montecito Fire. 

“This rescue occurred about 30 ft away from where another trail rescue occurred today at about 11:30 a.m.,” the agency said in a statement. 

American Medical Response crews also responded to the scene of the rescues.
