Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is seeking volunteers who would like to donate their time and talents in some 20 departments at the hospital. The hospital is recruiting community members to join the volunteer force and enhance patient care and hospital operations in the following departments:
Bariatric Program, Breast Imaging, Business Office, Employee Health, Foundation, Infection Control, Infusion, Main Lobby, Mended Hearts, Mission Hope Cancer Center, Outpatient Lobby, Pathology, Patient Satisfaction (Kindness Cart), Perinatal Center, Pet Therapy Program, Plaza Surgery Center, Pre-Admission Clinic, Post-Acute Care Team, and TLC- Crafts.
In addition, volunteers who can offer bilingual Spanish-language support are needed.
Volunteer shifts are typically four hours long and scheduled during the hospital’s daily visiting hours, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday and weekends. Shifts of reduced time are offered on weekends and evenings to appeal to working community members and students.
To become a Marian volunteer, community members must complete an application and an initial screening process in addition to attending a general orientation.
