A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with another vehicle Saturday evening in Lompoc.

At 6:07 p.m., Lompoc police were dispatched to a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle at the intersection of North V Street and West Oak Avenue, police Sgt. Scott Morgan said early Sunday.

“Upon arrival, officers located the male motorcyclist, who was down and had significant injuries,” he said.

Morgan said officers immediately provided first aid to the motorcyclist until paramedics arrived.

The injured man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Officers were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, Morgan said.

Lompoc police talked to some witnesses, but asked that anyone with information about the collision call the Police Department at 805.736.2341.
