A motorcycle passenger was injured Saturday evening in a single-vehicle crash in the Santa Maria Valley, according to emergency dispatch reports.
Just before 6 p.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol, along with an AMR ambulance crew, were dispatched to the crash near the intersection of Union Valley Parkway and South Bradley Road in Orcutt.
The motorcycle carrying two people was traveling approximately 25 mph when the crash occurred, county fire Engineer Sam Ferguson said.
While the driver was not hurt, the passenger reportedly had moderate injuries,
The 50-year-old woman was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries after her helmet came off during the crash, Ferguson added.
Additional details were not immediately available.
CHP officers from the Santa Maria area were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
