Multiple vehicle crashes were reported near the Gaviota Tunnel on Highway 101 Monday morning as light rain was falling in the area.
The driver of a pickup truck suffered moderate injuries in a rollover collision in the northbound lanes near Highway 1, Santa Barbara County Fire spokesman Mike Eliason said. That crash was reported just after 7 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol already had reported other collisions in the area, including a multi-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes that caused minor injuries and a lane closure.
There was an overturned dump truck blocking the right lane, according to Caltrans, which issued a SigAlert for the incident.
All lanes were reopened as of 9:10 a.m., according to Caltrans.
With the wet conditions, Eliason advised drivers to slow down and increase their following distance to the car ahead.
Several car spinouts were reported in the same area Monday morning, with vehicles hitting guardrails or walls near the closed Gaviota rest stop areas.
Rainy weather is in the forecast for Santa Barbara County Monday, Tuesday and early Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
