Noozhawk is hosting two free webinars next week focused on how the community is dealing with mental wellness and education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first session, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, is entitled “Mental Wellness During the COVID-19 Crisis.
Participants will join panelists from Child Abuse Listening Mediation (CALM ), Domestic Violence Solutions, and Sanctuary Centers Santa Barbara to discuss the challenges faced by our community during the COVID-19 crisis.
These organizations offer support to our most vulnerable citizens.
Join them as they discuss how their organizations are addressing the growing needs faced by Santa Barbara County residents due to the pandemic, and resulting shut down of commerce, educational institutions, and social gatherings.

The second session, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, is entitled “Learning Together Remotely: Navigating Education in the Covid Era.”
Panelists will discuss the lessons and challenges educators and students face in the era of “virtual” classrooms.
In support of the Santa Barbara Unified School District, the Santa Barbara Education Foundation has gathered a talented group of educators who have worked tirelessly to help our youth stay on track and engaged during these challenging times.
Panelists will include:

» Brendan Carroll, Franklin Elementary School STEAM teacher.
» Ali Cortez, Santa Barbara Unified School District youth outreach worker.
