Campos\, Carpinteria historian\, educator\, and former editor of the Citrus Label Society’s bi-monthly newsletter\, The Citrus Peal\, will provide a historical overview of citrus crate labels related to Carpinteria and Santa Barbara between 1885 and 1955. This illustrated history of one of Carpinteria’s most historically important industries will include many rarely seen labels\, as well as details of the varying types and styles of labels from decades past. \n\n\nThe 2025 Talk & Talkback Speaker Series is hosted by the Carpinteria Valley Museum of History. The Art of the Citrus Crate Label will be held on Thursday\, July 10th from 5 p. m. to 6 p.m. at the museum\, 956 Maple Ave. in downtown Carpinteria. Personal remembrances of the war period and reflections on the legacy of the Vietnam War will be the focus of the panel. \n\n\nThe 2025 Talk & Talkback Speaker Series is hosted by the Carpinteria Valley Museum of History. The Vietnam War: Personal Recollections 50 Years On will be presented in partnership with Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 218 Santa Barbara and will be held on May 16 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the museum\, 956 Maple Ave. in downtown Carpinteria.
