Two drivers — one ejected and the other trapped in a vehicle — suffered major injuries Saturday in separate rollover crashes involving pickup trucks.
At approximately 6:50 a.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the Lompoc Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the 5000 block of Santa Rosa Road, west of Buellton, county fire spokesman Mike Eliason said.
They found the driver had been ejected when a full-sized pickup truck overturned, Eliason said.
The driver was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injures.
Approximately 30 minutes later, county firefighters, CHP officers and other emergency personnel were dispatched to another rollover crash — on southbound Highway 101, south of Dos Pueblos Canyon, west of Goleta.
The truck ended up on its side about 20 feet off the roadway after overturning, Eliason said, adding that firefighters took approximately 25 minutes to stabilize the vehicle and free the driver by removing the truck’s roof.

A man in his 30s suffered major injuries and was taken by AMR ambulance to Cottage Hospital, Eliason said.
Names of the drivers and details on their conditions were not available.
CHP officers were investigating the circumstances surrounding both crashes.
