In an effort to ensure public safety, the city of Goleta’s Public Works Department has temporarily closed the pedestrian crosswalk at Calle Real and Kingston Avenue.

The flashing yellow lights that are activated from the push buttons are not working properly.

Replacement equipment has been ordered and will be installed as soon as it is received.

Signs with arrows indicating “Crosswalk Closed” have been placed at the site. Pedestrians are asked to follow the detours directing users to the crosswalks at either the Calle Real/Kellogg Avenue intersection, or the Calle Real/pedestrian crossing at the shopping center near Kyle’s Kitchen.
