Tuba Christmas

Tuba Christmas celebrated its 39th year with a packed performance last Saturday in Storke Placita, next to De la Guerra Plaza. The first half of the 90-minute noon concert featured “Christmas Brass,” consisting of brass players from the SBCC Concert Band and local high schools, and they played all the usual favorite holiday tunes. TubaChristmas, a mass tuba choir consisting of 30 or more players from the Tri-County area and beyond, took over for the second half. Both performances were conducted by SBCC’s Eric Heidner.
