Officers were investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at a business in Santa Barbara.

A man wearing a disguise — reportedly a medical mask — entered the business on the 4000 block of Calle Real at about 1 p.m. said Anthony Wagner, a Santa Barbara Police Department spokesman.

The robber appeared to have a weapon — reportedly a handgun.

He stole money and items from the store before fleeing on foot, Wagner said, and may have gotten into a newer-model black Mercedes.

No one was injured in the robbery, Wagner said.
