A suspected gang member has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred last week in downtown Santa Barbara, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Marco Arizmendi, 24, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and a gang enhancement stemming from an attack Sept. 24 at a bar in the 500 block of State Street, police spokesman Anthony Wagner said.
Arizmendi also is suspected of a parole violation, Wagner said.
There were multiple witnesses to the stabbing, Wagner said, and they were interviewed by police.
State Street was shut down in the area while police investigated.
