Santa Maria police investigators are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man suspected in a stabbing earlier this month.
Officers were called to Marian Regional Medical Center on Feb. 11 after receiving a report that a stabbing victim was being treated there.
“Through the course of the investigation, Santa Maria police were able to determine the incident occurred on the 1700 block of South Depot Street,” according to Sgt. Andy Magallon.
The adult victim, whose name was not released, suffered multiple stab wounds, and was released from the hospital after being treated for his injuries, Magallon said.
Detectives have identified the alleged assailant as Jesus Valencia Haro, 22. He was described as Hispanic, about 6 feet tall, about 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Haro’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Kulp at 805.928.3781 x1643 or call the Police Department’s tip line at 805.928.3781 x2677.
