Friday night’s football game between Bishop Diego and Chicago Hope Academy was postponed by power outage on the main campus at SBCC that impacted the lights at La Playa Stadium.
The teams will return to La Playa Stadium on Saturday and play the first-ever meeting between the schools at 11 a.m.
The JV game that was originally scheduled for that time was canceled.
The power went out just before 6 p.m. A SBCC women’s volleyball match against Santa Monica in the Sports Pavilion was unable to get started.
SBCC Athletic Director Rocco Constantino said Southern California Edison was aware of the outage and was sending crews out to make repairs.
Constantino said he was hopeful the problem is fixed before SBCC’s football game against College of the Canyons at 6 p.m. Saturday
