The San Marcos girls basketball team was able to arrive at the Arvin Holiday Showcase in the Central Valley on Thursday but several others weren’t so fortunate because of the closures of Interstate 5 and Highway 58 due to snow and icy road conditions.

As a result of several game postponements, the tournament schedule has been condensed. San Marcos will play two games on Friday. The opponents will be determined based on what teams are able to attend.

San Marcos coach Aaron Solis said it 6.5 hours to drive to Arvin.
