Two people suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle, rollover crash on Highway 101 in Santa Maria early Tuesday.
At 3:44 a.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the crash on northbound Highway 101 at Santa Maria Way, fire Capt. Scott Safechuck said.
Two adult patients, a male driver and a female passenger, had to be extricated from the vehicle, which landed on its roof, Safechuck said.
Both patients had moderate injuries and were taken by AMR ambulances to Marian Regional Medical Center, Safechuck said.
Their names and details on their conditions were not available.
The highway closed for a short time while crews removed the vehicle and debris from the roadway, Safechuck added.
CHP officers from the Santa Maria area will investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.
