In keeping with his unique life story, Sam Toumayan passed away peacefully at home in St. Louis, Missouri, on his birthday, October 28, 2022, surrounded by loving family.

Sam was born on October 28, 1939, and immigrated to the United States in 1969.

He founded Meridian Enterprises in 1978. Based in St. Louis, Meridian operated for more than 40 years and grew to establish a large domestic and international presence. He was known as an innovator in the loyalty and incentive industry, employing more than 1,000 people during his career.

A part-time resident of Santa Barbara, California, Sam is survived by his loving wife, Barb Toumayan; son Greg Toumayan; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Institute of St. Louis, Girls Incorporated of St. Louis or St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of St. Louis.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. November 19, 2022, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 110 N. Warson Road in St. Louis.
