The San Marcos baseball team lost to Sierra Canyon, 5-2, in the Easton Tournament Thursday.

Brody Sturm started the game for the Royals, going one scoreless inning. Logan Stevenson then pitched two innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out two, and Eli Anderson pitched four innings with no earned runs and three strikeouts.

Cole Schoenwetter had two hits, including a double, and Mason Pettingill and Patrick Kelly both had hits. Brendon Cekada had an RBI.

The Royals are now 1-3 and play at Simi Valley on Saturday at 11 a.m. Sierra Canyon is 3-0.
