Crosstown softball and baseball games between San Marcos and Dos Pueblos will be played on Friday and Saturday.
The baseball teams will open their two-game Channel League series at DP’s Scott O’Leary Field on Friday at 3:30 p.m. They’ll move to San Marcos’ Joe Mueller Field for a Saturday rain make-up game that also is scheduled at 3:30 due to a track meet at adjacent Warkentin Stadium.
The softball teams will play a Friday league game at Dos Pueblos at 3:30.
The second game will be played at a later date because the San Marcos infield remains under water from the recent heavy rains.
The team affectionally dubbed the flooded field “Swann Lake,” in honor of its coach Jeff Swann.
