Tony Nji paced the offense and Will Pace got on the backboards on Wednesday to help San Marcos double up Pacifica 52-26 in the Clash on the Coast boys basketball tournament at Pacifica.
Njia, a 5-11 senior guard, scored 12 points and John Connelly added nine for the Royals (3-5).
“A balanced scoring attack and consistent defense allowed us to come away with the win,” said San Marcos coach Jelani Hicks. “We had a 21-point third quarter set up by our defense and John Connolly and Isaiah Hicks had seven and six points, respectively, in the quarter.”
The Royals will take on Notre Dame on Thursday.
